New TechnologyOne Finance system will now go live 1 October 2019

The TechnologyOne Finance system will now go live 1 October 2019. The system had been due to go live on 1 August, but was not quite technically ready. The slight delay will provide the University with time to better introduce the new system.

The pause in moving to the TechnologyOne Finance system will allow more time to improve the way that we operate and for the technical issues to be resolved. These issues have prevented Finance from preparing the wider University for the change in a timely way.

Order Placers whose access to Oracle was withdrawn in July will have this reinstated by 9 August. Kimberley Moore will communicate directly with individuals once their Oracle access has been reinstated.

In the meantime if you have any Oracle access queries please contact Kimberley directly.

Updates on the TechnologyOne Finance roll-out and staff training will be shared over coming weeks and months.

I’m outside of Finance, how will this affect me?

TechnologyOne Finance will enable us to update our financial processes and procedures, and to introduce self-service facilities.  Self-service will enable members of staff to manage their own requests directly.

We’re going live with the system on 1 October 2019. The new processes and the necessary training will be rolled out across the University in phases. This will take place before go live where possible, but some may take place in October after go live.
